Gala Dance Off Saturday, November 16 @ the Hurds’ home

All current and former members of the branch are invited to submit up to three original dances for consideration. Please include sheet music or indicate suggestions for a cd track. Dave Wiesler and Adam Oleksa are available to assist with tune selection.

Please send the final version of your dances to Melissa Shaner by 10/31/19.

DANCERS

The Delaware Valley Branch is celebrating its 50th anniversary by producing a DVB Gold Book of dances, which will be a companion to our 25th anniversary Silver Book.

Come have fun testing out the many dances submitted by Delaware Valley folks near and far. We will need dancers all during the day, though you will not need to dance every dance. These dancers need to be able to do standard Scottish figures after a walkthrough (i.e., you can do diagonal reels and set & link, but might not remember the tournee or la baratte). If you have submitted a dance, you will not dance it. Dancers will be asked to fill out a brief response sheet after each dance that will be instrumental in deciding which dances are selected for publication.

Details:
November 16th, 9:30 – 4:30ish at the Hurds’ in Moylan, PA.
Lunch will be provided. Tea and snacks will be available all day.
While you are welcome to drop by unannounced, it will help us with the flow of the day if we can count on having 8+ dancers for each 20-minute dance test slot.
Please sign up, and add any specifics about your availability in the comment section.
